Applied Process is the industry leader in providing austempering services to iron and steel foundries, as well as manufacturers in light and heavy vehicle, agriculture, railroad, construction, mining, turf care, and other durable goods industries. Austempering is an isothermal heat treatment that when applied to ferrous materials produces a structure that is stronger and tougher than comparable structures produced with conventional heat treatments. Aldine’s investment was made in conjunction with a buyout by a private equity sponsor.
